The Methodist Conference of 2017 will take place at The Hilton, Birmingham Metropole from 22-29 June 2017.
The MET reception will take place on 26 June in the Warwick Suite from 1.00pm to 2.00pm, with a two-course hot meal.
The Revd David A Hull is a Methodist Minister, serving as Chaplain of Kingswood School, Bath. He is undertaking part-time PhD Research at Cliff College and the University of Manchester, investigating the legacy of Methodist minister, the Revd Dr Rob Frost. He is also Chair of the mission organisation Share Jesus International and a member of the Evangelical Alliance Council. He is married to Sarah and they have a daughter, Martha.
Tim is a Methodist presbyter currently serving as Ministry Learning and Development Officer for the East Central Region. He is passionate about mission and evangelism, Nonconformist church history and theological education. He lectures at Cliff College in Wesleyan Theology and Spirituality and his PhD from Cliff is on the origins of Primitive Methodism. He is a keen supporter of Warwickshire County Cricket and Birmingham City F.C. Tim lives in Northampton with his wife Hilary and son Oliver.
Marian is delighted to have been appointed to the post of MET Administrator which she commenced in September 2015. Marian also remains as General Secretary for MET.
She has recently moved to the Isle of Wight where her husband John has just taken up the role of Superintendent Minister for the island. Apart from being a wonderful island to explore, they are both very excited about the immense opportunities that the island offers in terms of mission and outreach working with the Methodist churches and with the Churches Together Groups.
Paul began this role in September 2012, after 22 years of circuit ministry, which included periods serving as District Deputy Chair, Synod Secretary, Circuit Superintendent and on the Methodist Council. This role, funded by MET, seeks to provide a resource to develop the evangelical witness in Methodism. He is available to lead LP training days, circuit and church weekends, staff retreats and speak about MET in Synods and other conferences. His special interests are prayer, preaching, healing and wholeness, leadership and the pastoral care of those with Dementia. He is a member of the Evangelical Alliance Council. He is married to Karen, a primary school teacher, and they have three adult children.
