Providing resources through publications, conferences and our website for evangelicals within British Methodism
Methodist Evangelicals Together (MET) seeks to equip our membership to grow in their life of discipleship and effectively represent the evangelical position within our denomination. We do this by a series of national conferences on Prayer, Expository Preaching and Equipping for Ministry. The Development Worker (The Revd Paul Wilson) is a resource for developing fellowships, conferences, church weekends and Local Preacher training at District, Circuit and Church level. MET Connexion and the Website both provide resources and seek to nurture members of the fellowship.
MET has a calling to strengthen expository preaching within the Methodist Church and holds annual Digging for Treasure conferences and provides speakers for Circuit and District Training events. The Digging For Treasure conference keynote addresses are published in a series of books.
MET encourages personal and corporate prayer and provides an annual Prayer Conference and encourages local prayer gatherings.
MET provides a unique Equipping for Ministry conference for those at the beginning of their ministry together with their spouses and family. This provides space for teaching and reflection led by a guest minister, special sessions for spouses and family members and opportunity for worship and fellowship together.
MET holds receptions at ECG and the Cliff College Festival, places where members and other interested individuals attend and can be updated on key issues and the latest news.
MET supports house groups by providing Bible Study materials in MET Connexion and in study booklets.
MET seeks to keep members up to date on key issues and provide a channel for discussion and the exchange of views with the wider Connexion.
MET is seeking not only to resource members but be a resource for the Methodist Connexion in shaping the future church.
