MET Prayer Conference: Revival

Friday, October 31, 2014 - 16:00 to Sunday, November 2, 2014 - 14:00

Our speakers this year are the Rev David Hull, Chair of MET and  the Rev John Wiltshire, Vice Chair with responsibility for Prayer for Revival. We unite around the grand theme of, and desperate need for, REVIVAL. Our Bible Studies this year will be taken from the book of JOEL – ‘PROPHET OF PENTECOST’. In addition we welcome the Rev Paul Wilson, our Development Worker, who will speak on ‘The Vital Ministry of the Holy Spirit in Scripture and Today’ plus lots, lots more! A provisional timetable is given below – further details will be issued at the Conference.

FRIDAY 31st OCTOBER

3.00 – Rooms ready. Guests are welcome to arrive earlier and to use the Hotel facilities.

8.00 – SESSION ONE – Joel 1 v. 1-20 – ‘The day of the locust’ - John Wiltshire

10.00 – Sacred Space – Jacquie Galton

SATURDAY 1st  NOVEMBER

7.45 am – 8.15 am – Early Morning Prayer, with Reflection from Ephesians – David Hull

8.00 – 9.00 – Breakfast

9.30 – SESSION TWO – Joel 2 v. 1-17 – ‘The Day of the LORD’ - David Hull

11.15 – SESSION THREE – Joel 2 v. 18-27 – ‘The restored people’ - John Wiltshire

12.30 – Lunch and Free Time*

4.45 – Prayer for Revival – ‘The Vital Ministry of the Holy Spirit in Scripture and Today’ – Paul Wilson

6.30 – Evening Meal

8.00 – SESSION FOUR – Joel 2 v. 28-32 – ‘The outpoured Spirit’ -David Hull

10.15 – Sacred Space – Jacquie Galton

SUNDAY 2nd  NOVEMBER

7.45 am – 8.15 am – Early Morning Prayer, with Reflection from Ephesians – David Hull

8.30 – Breakfast

9.30 – SESSION FIVE – Joel 3 v. 1-21 – ‘The valley of decision’ - John Wiltshire    

11.00 – Holy Communion with Word, Ministry, Prayer and time for quiet reflection – David Hull

12.30 – Roast Dinner and Depart

CONFERENCE ENDS

* We may be offering an optional Seminar , primarily for day visitors, but open to all, around the theme ‘Learning from past revivals’ (historical sketch) – TBC
