Methodism was birthed in revival
When asked why God had raised up the Methodist movement in England's last great revival,
John Wesley replied he believed it was:
'To reform the nation and, in particular, the Church; to spread scriptural holiness over the land.'
He was absolutely committed to raising up a new generation of revival leaders:
'What shall we do for this rising generation? Unless we take care of this,
the present revival ... will last only the age of a man. Who shall labour herein?
Let him that is zealous for God and the souls of men begin now'.
Wesley's vision remains as the heart of Methodist Evangelicals Together.
We too long to see nations, the Church and individuals transformed by the gospel. We seek to take care of the rising generation.
We are committed to:
Rekindling the Wesleyan Flame
Rediscovering the Wesleyan vision
... transforming the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ, one life at a time.
Renewing the Wesleyan mission
... in the motherland of Methodism.
Releasing the rising generation of Wesleyan leaders
... young men and women with warmed hearts and lively minds, on fire with the love of God.
