Rev Dr David Hull serves in a voluntary capacity as MET:Revive's Ambassador, exercising 'on the ground' ministry in Methodist Churches across the country.
In his capacity as Ambassador, David travels to Methodist churches throughout the UK, joining in the work of 'redigging the wells' of our revival heritage, seeking renewal in our mission and ministry, and looking forward to the future with renewed hope and trust in the Lord. It is a ministry focussed on teaching, preaching, and encouraging evangelical Methodists across the Connexion.
Before taking up this role, David served as Chair of Methodist Evangelicals Together for 12 years, and has been part of the leadership of MET and its predecessor organisations in various roles for over two decades. He is a minister in Full Connexion with the British Methodist Conference. Having served in the worlds of church and education over the years, he is currently Lead Pastor of Freedom Church Bristol, a Free Methodist Church based in Kingswood.
David is also Chair of the inter-denominational mission organisation Share Jesus International and Founding Chair of the Association of Wesleyan Evangelicals (AWE). David is married to Sarah and they have three daughters.
The Ambassador's Role
The MET:Revive Ambassador role encompasses:
-
An itinerant ministry of teaching, preaching, and encouraging Methodist evangelicals 'on the ground'. This includes an objective of increasing the membership of MET.
-
Continuing to lead the development of the Association of Wesleyan Evangelicals (AWE) as its Chair. AWE is an initiative that began within MET with a view to becoming an independent organisation.
-
Exploring the possibilities of developing a network of regional MET Advocates, who would promote the work of MET and seek to further our objectives within their regions.

-
'Moving in Mission' Afternoon Leadership Workshop: Practical sessions for leaders and available church members
-
'Remember to Forget' Evening Celebration: Worship, preaching, and prayerful response
-
Resources: Materials for ongoing fellowship and prayer
The tour aims to help churches prioritise prayer and deepen discipleship as we approach the 300th anniversary of the Evangelical Revival.
